Membership & Packages
Acquiring membership of 1 For the Road is simple. We've kept it that way because we aim to provide a hassle free service from first point of contact until your drop off at home at the end of an evening.
All you have to do is:
- Decide which package below is best suited to your lifestyle.
- Complete the membership application form, providing your bank details so we can set up a debit order.
- You are ready to go - simply call 0861 622 642 to book a driver for your next night out.
Packages
1 for Basic
You are likely to be an infrequent or occasional user to the service. You nevertheless want the peace of mind that you can make use of 1 For the Road if you need it.
There is a monthly membership fee and a charge per kilometre of usage, with no free kilometres provided.
1 for 20
You will use the service a few times a month. You live quite close to where you socialise so the minimum 5km trip charge will provide the best value.
There is a monthly membership fee (R230) and you have 20km free.
1 for 40
You are a moderate but regular user - probably using the service twice per month. You would like to take advantage of a better rate than the 1 for 20 option.
There is a monthly membership fee (R350) and you have 40km free with a discounted rate per kilometre thereafter.
1 for 80
You have an active social life and as a regular user of 1 For the Road, you want the best rate available.
There is a monthly membership fee (R560) and you have 80km free with the maximum discounted rate per kilometre thereafter.
1 for the Function
Ideal for companies that plan corporate events and client functions, as well as private functions at your home (eg.40th birthday party) the 1 for the Function means you can ensure your
clients, customers, friends or staff enjoy the evening right up until the last moment. Providing a responsible transport solution after a night of entertaining will leave a lasting good impression.
There is a monthly membership fee and tailored packages can be created to suit your needs.
While the membership route makes more sense as it works out to be more affordable, we do also accept first-time call-ins. Call 0861 622 642 and if we can accommodate you we will.
Payment can be made in cash on the night or via EFT the following day.
Family discounts
Family members on the 1 for 20/40/80 packages, living in the same household can take advantage of discounted membership and pay only R40 per person, per month.
